What goes wrong: Athletes often rush this movement without proper positioning, which loads the wrong tissues and reduces effectiveness.
Cue: Long stride, heel first
Fix: Eccentric calf lowers off step 3x12 each leg. Practice with a controlled tempo for 2-3 sets of 8-10 reps. Film yourself from the side to confirm the correction sticks before adding load.
